I used to have one of those glossy anime magazines with fluffy looking 3d-esque, unofficial depictions of characters on the cover - were they published by Beckett or something like that? - in about 1999 that had a ton of design sketches for hovercraft and scooters and stuff in Dragonball, and the vehicles looked so much like this.
